Taking Saige to the Kamloops Wildlife Park on our Sunday drive home was all part of the plan - we thought it would be a good way to break up the trip and finally show Saige animals in real life.
She beyond LOVED it and we loved watching her squeal in delight and make animal noises. Saige is obsessed with kittens/cats she can spot them a mile away; she said "meow" in Walmart the other day and sure enough 5 feet away on the bottom shelf was Hello Kitty shampoo.
Saige and daddy watching the park staff feed three black bears an afternoon snack... apples.
"Groar": her sound for all bears - these just happened to be grizzlies.
Every bird is a "ducky" in Saige's world and owls and cows say the same thing, "ooooo".
She was in total awe of all the bees... unfortunately the 'bee phone' was out of service.
Saige is not usually OCD but she insisted that ALL the stuffed animals needed to be rescued from the beaver dam. One-by-one she'd march them out and then carefully consider which parent to give it to... for some reason Trev ended up with more - I felt a little slighted.
We learned that rides without a motor don't interest her.
She loves her creepy crawlies... oh joy.
